My life has been in flux lately. In April, I quit my day job as a sales assistant, and I didn’t have a new job to fall upon. I traveled to Ireland and then later Vienna. The Better Boobie Bureau was forced out of our April time slot which caused a re-evaluation of how we operate as a troupe. I went to Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in June, and the very next weekend help run the Windy City Burlesque Festival.
It’s been a stressful but hopeful time. I’m anxious and excited all at the same time.
I’m still trying to balance it all: trying not to be anxious that I don’t have as many shows coming up; applying for jobs while trying to work through burlesque business; getting up at a reasonable hour to make my less structured time useful.
I have some ideas that I want to start working on for videos and maybe a product that I hope will be handy to other performers. I also will soon be working on a new number that’s a sing and strip!
As much as this time is really weird to me, I’m happy and hopeful to be transitioning to a life that’s filled with more creativity and less time stressed over things that I just don’t care about.
Hope you’ll stay tuned for what I have coming up for the future. I think you’ll like it.
